When measuring blinds always use a metal tape (not cloth).
Decide whether you wish to have the blind inside the window (known as Recess) or outside the window, known as Exact.
The Recess approach provides a clean, built in look and is a great way to leave any attractive woodwork exposed.
The Exact approach is a great option when there is not enough depth for the recess mount or if there are any obstacles that prevent a recess mount. Often used to make a window appear larger or cover up a less attractive window.
It is important to check for obstacles in any window recess before deciding on the best option.
Be careful to look for windows opening inwards.

Recess
Measure the inside width in at least 3 places. Again look for Dado rails, tiles etc.
Record the smallest width. This width will be your ordering width.

Recess
Measure the drop again in 3 locations. Record the smallest drop. This drop will be your ordering drop.

Exact
Measure the width of the window you want to cover. We suggest that you ensure an overlap of 2 to 3 inches. This overall measurement becomes your ordering width.

|
Exact
Measure the drop of the area you want to cover. This measurement becomes your ordering drop. Look out for radiators positioned below windows.
